Who We Are

Women's Ranch Bronc Championships

Where History Rides Again and the Future Rides Forward

Women have been a part of bronc riding since the late 1800's, competing in early rodeos and proving their skill alongside the men. Legends like Fanny Sperry Steele, Lucille Mulhall, and Bonnie McCarroll set records, rode the rankest horses, and helped shape the sport. Though women's events faded, the spirit and determination of those early riders never disappeared.

Founded in 2016 by the McElroy's, the Women's Ranch Bronc Championships was created to bring women back to bronc riding and empower the next generation of ranch bronc riders. What began as a need for a competitive space has grown into an internationally respected platform.

The WRBC exists to help female athletes of all ages and backgrounds pursue and achieve their ranch bronc riding goals. This commitment drives the internationally recognized Trail to Cheyenne Tour, a growing global stage that celebrates rising talent and honors the history of the sport.
The WRBC has been a crowd favorite at some of the largest rodeo stages in the world. Cheyenne Frontier Days, Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo, Calgary Stampede, Ponoka Stampede, Days of 76, Blackhills Round-Up, Elizabeth Stampede and many more.
